After playing a bit with Crafty Apps EU’s Tasker we share with you our first two automation profiles, as we think they are simple enough for starters and no phone should be left without them.

Having recently upgraded my smartphone for the nth time, I found myself needing to automate a few tasks. Unlike my previous foray into Tasker automation however, my new phone is not rooted, nor do I plan to root it anytime soon.

We grieved when we learned that Skype had been bought by eBay. Either Google or Yahoo would've made a much better sugar daddy and had strong commitments to customer service, while eBay's public goodwill was slowly being eroded by inept practices. I figured a step-by-step howto on what I've done would not be useful only for me if I had to do it again, but to any other owner of this extremely popular unit.
